Google Maps
Taking the form of a web portal and mobile application, Google Maps is a service that provides a view of a map of the entire globe. The tool offers extremely powerful functionality that is second to none. Google Maps has not only revolutionised the way modern people get their bearings, but is also an essential tool to support e-marketing activities.
Using the service allows users to:
- view topographic and satellite maps,
- searching for routes and planning journeys using various means of transport,
- navigating to a specific location using GPS with the possibility of viewing the current traffic flow,
- searching for shops, services and other facilities,
- viewing given locations from street level (Street View).
In creating and developing its maps, Google also uses external data, which is provided by providers professionally involved in specific aspects of topography or aerial or satellite photography.
Google My Business card
The My Business service allows you to create business cards for businesses, which are displayed on search results pages and – in the form of tags – on Google maps.
Setting up the tool involves completing a profile with the most important information about your company. A well-drawn business card should include elements such as a brief description, address, contact details, a link to the website, opening hours or a photo gallery. Additional features, such as the ability to publish posts and news, are ways to reach new customers more effectively.
Creating a Google My Business card also allows you to add ratings and reviews of your business, which are visible to anyone who visits your business profile. What you should also know is that, in order to gain access to the tool, it is necessary to verify your data using a code that Google sends to the address you provide upon registration.
