Its history dates back to the first half of the 1990s, while its structure was based on the ENQUIRE system, which in the 1980s was the only way to view resources located on disks located in other parts of the world.

With HTML, it is possible to present elements such as text paragraphs, images or headings on a page. It is worth knowing that the markup language is primarily used to design website templates. It is good practice for all issues related to the appearance and style of websites to be defined using CSS – cascading style sheets.

Knowledge of HTML and related languages is an absolute must have for professionals who are involved in website optimisation. Adherence to the standards of the technology and its methods has a significant impact on the position of a website in search engines.
