Cookies are small files placed in the memory of your browser, which are downloaded when you visit a website. There are two basic types of cookies: session cookies and persistent cookies. Cookies permanent cookies, on the other hand, are files that will only be deleted from the user’s device after a specific period of time.
In web analytics, inconspicuous cookies are a powerful tool for tracking user behaviour on a website and gaining insight into, for example, whether they are in the habit of returning to the site.
