Open Graph
Open Graph metatags are a way of taking full control of how shared content is displayed on social media such as Twitter, Pinterest and Facebook. It was the creators of the latter who came up with a tool to determine things such as the title, description or graphic accompanying a post that a user shares.
The implementation of Open Graph requires an intervention in the page code, which will result in the addition of the relevant tags in the header section of the website. This can be done manually or by using plug-ins, which greatly facilitate the work on the portal.
As content posted on social media sites can affect ranking on Google, it is advisable that tags are indeed implemented within the site.
